What bed size do I need?

What's the difference between a bed frame and a divan bed?

Divan beds have a solid or sprung upholstered base that sits directly on the floor on castors, with the mattress on top. Bed frames tend to make more of a style statement and suit a wider variety of room aesthetics. Do I need a special mattress for my bed frame?
Most standard mattresses are compatible with most bed frames — the critical factor is size. How do I choose the right bed for a small bedroom?

How long should a bed last?
The divan base or bed frame itself can last 15 to 20 years with normal use.
