These terms and conditions apply to the purchase of any goods or products from Bedstar Ltd. By accessing our website and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by all of the terms, conditions and policies set out below or within the website. Nothing in these conditions affects your rights as a consumer.
Please read these terms and conditions carefully before placing your order with Bedstar Ltd. Bedstar Ltd, at its discretion, may change, modify, add or remove these terms and conditions at any time — it is therefore important to read these each time you make a purchase order.
1.1 We are Bedstar Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (referred to as "we", "us", "our" in these Conditions), trading as bedstar.co.uk. Registration number 05204678. VAT number 845 4558 01.
1.2 "Conditions" means the terms and conditions of sale set out in this document and any special terms and conditions agreed in writing by the Seller.
1.3 "Seller" means Bedstar Ltd.
1.4 "Delivery date" means the date specified by the Seller when the Products are to be delivered.
1.5 "Products" means those goods specified.
1.6 "Price" means the price for the Products including delivery, packing and VAT.
1.7 "Regulations" refers to The Consumer Protection (Distant Selling) regulations 2000 ("The Buyer's right to cancel").
1.8 "Tailored" means a Product that is non-standard.
1.9 "Address" refers to the address for Bedstar Ltd:

1.10 "Consumer" shall bear the meaning given in Section 12 Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977.
1.11 "Contract" refers to any contract between the Buyer and Bedstar Ltd for the sale and purchase of Products incorporating these conditions.
1.12 "Delivery Place" refers to the delivery address as specified by the Buyer in the Order.
1.13 "Order" refers to the Buyer's offer to purchase Products placed with Bedstar Ltd, whether electronically or via other means.
2.1 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, these Conditions shall apply to the exclusion of any other terms and conditions.
2.2 Each order the Buyer places shall be deemed to be an offer by the Buyer to purchase Products from Bedstar Ltd, subject to these conditions.
2.3 Each order shall be deemed accepted and will become binding once the Seller issues a Confirmation to the Buyer, or if earlier, delivers the Products.
2.4 If the Seller does not accept the Buyer's Order, the Seller will advise the Buyer as soon as practicable and no binding Contract will exist.
2.5 The Buyer must ensure that details provided to the Seller are complete and accurate and that all necessary information is provided within sufficient time.
2.6 Any typographical or clerical error in any sales literature, quotation, price list, invoice or other document issued by the Seller shall be subject to correction without liability.
2.7 If any provision of these conditions is adjudged invalid or unenforceable, the validity of other provisions shall not be affected.
2.8 If the Seller is unable to supply the Product and payment has been made, the Buyer's account will be refunded within 30 days of the order.
3.1 Subject to the Buyer's right to cancel, the Seller shall sell and the Buyer shall buy the Products in accordance with the Confirmation. A legally binding Contract exists once the Seller has received, processed and confirmed the order and received payment in full.
3.2 The description of goods shall be set out in writing in the Confirmation.
3.3 Any items that are not the specified Product in the product description — such as lamps, bed covers, or headboards (unless mentioned in the description) — will not form part of this Contract. Such information is for illustration purposes only.
3.4 Any specifications or advertising issued by the Seller and any descriptions or illustrations are by way of guidance or illustration only.
3.5 The Buyer shall not be entitled to assign the Contract or any part of it without prior written consent.
3.6 The Seller may assign the Contract or any part of it to any person, firm or company.
4.1 The Contract price shall be as set out in the Confirmation. In the event of any increase in costs, taxes or duties, the Seller may increase the Price upon written notice. The Buyer shall then have the right to cancel within seven days of receiving such notice.
4.2 If the Seller makes an error in the Confirmation or any invoice, the Seller will correct that error within 60 days of being notified.
4.3 Payment of the Price shall be due on the date of the purchase order. Payment shall be due before the delivery date.
4.5 No payment shall be deemed received until the Seller has received cleared funds. There will be no delivery until cleared funds have been received.
4.6 Payment can be made by any method shown on the website at the time the Buyer places an order.
4.7 Payments shall be made by the Buyer without any deduction unless the Buyer has a valid court order requiring such deduction.
5.1 The quantity and description of Products shall be set out in the Seller's confirmation.
5.2 The Seller may make changes in the specification of Products which do not materially affect their quality or performance.
5.3 Photographs provided on the website are for illustrative purposes only and may not exactly match the Product itself.
5.4 Measurements produced on our website are for guide purposes only and may not be taken as exact.
5.5 Vacuum packed, foam based mattresses will produce a chemical smell when first opened. This is part of the fire retardant agents used in the mattress. Please leave in a well-ventilated room for up to 24 hours and the odour will completely disappear.
5.6 All products supplied by Bedstar Ltd may have tolerance dimensions of +/– 3%.
6.1 The Seller warrants that Products will correspond with their specification at the time of delivery and will be free from defect for a period of 12 months from delivery, unless otherwise specified.
6.2 The Seller shall not be liable for breach of warranty unless the Buyer provides written notice of the defect within 7 days of discovery, and the Seller is given reasonable opportunity to examine the Products.
6.3 The Seller shall not be liable for breach of warranty if: the Buyer makes further use of the Products after giving notice; the defect arises from fair wear and tear, wilful damage or negligence; the Buyer alters or repairs the Products without written consent; or the Buyer has not paid by the payment date.
6.4 If Products do not conform with any warranty, within 30 days of examining the defective Products the Seller will either repair or replace such Products free of charge, or refund the price.
6.5 If the Seller complies with clause 6.4 the Seller shall have no further liability for breach of warranty.
6.6 The Seller will not be responsible for collection or disposal of exchanged/faulty items unless otherwise notified in writing.
Customer information
All products come with a one year manufacturer's guarantee. Extended warranties may apply — please check individual product descriptions. Please note warranties work on a sliding scale depending on how long you have had the mattress. A transportation cost will also apply: delivery only £50, delivery and collection £80.
7.1 All delivery charges displayed on the website are guidelines. Final charges will be confirmed at checkout. The Seller will not deliver to addresses outside of mainland United Kingdom.
7.2 Products will be delivered to the address specified in the order.
7.3 Goods will be deemed delivered once delivered to the specified address.
7.4 Dates and times quoted for delivery are approximate only. The Seller shall not be liable for any loss caused directly or indirectly by any delay in delivery.
7.5 Where an order contains more than one item, all items will generally be delivered at the same time once all items are available.
7.6 Where a delivery date has been agreed but the Buyer is not present, the Seller reserves the right to charge a minimum of £40.00 to cover the cost of the failed delivery.
7.7 If Products are not available within 60 days, the Seller shall inform the Buyer, cancel the Contract, and reimburse any sums paid within 30 days.
7.11 Deliveries made by national carriers will be delivered by one man to your front door.
7.12 All goods must be signed for. We are unable to deliver to unattended premises.
7.13 We do not accept liability for customers removing old beds or mattresses prior to delivery. We advise customers only dispose of old goods after acceptance of the new delivery.
7.14 Postcode areas AB, DD, FK, IV, KW, KY, PA, PH cannot be delivered on a guaranteed next day basis and can take up to 3–5 days.
7.17 If the delivery address has any road access or parking restrictions, it is the customer's responsibility to provide a valid parking permit or suitable parking area. Failure may result in redelivery charges.
7.18 Products available on a next day delivery service will be delivered by a 1 man logistics company to the front door only. If you reside in a flat or apartment, delivery will be to the lobby only.
7.24 For health and safety reasons, delivery drivers are unable to remove their shoes. Please ensure adequate floor covering is in place prior to delivery.
7.25 Deliveries are booked for a specific day, not a specific time. Any time estimations are not guaranteed.
7.26 Cancellations or amendments must be sent via email to [email protected] prior to 12 noon the day before the planned delivery date. For weekend or Monday deliveries, confirmation of cancellation is required by Friday 12 noon.
7.27 If items do not fit into their intended location, the customer may accept delivery, make their own arrangements, or reject the delivery. If rejected, Bedstar will charge a delivery fee for returning goods to our warehouse.
7.30 Our two-man delivery service will only take items up to the third floor unless the property has an elevator, at the driver's discretion.
8.1 Other than where the Buyer acts as a Consumer, the Buyer shall be deemed to have accepted the Products 5 working days after delivery.
8.2 After acceptance the Buyer shall not be entitled to reject Products which are not in accordance with the Contract.
8.3 If you are applying for finance, Bedstar can only deliver to the address specified on the finance agreement.
8.4 Klarna Financing — If you have selected a next day delivery service, Bedstar can only dispatch once we have received the signed agreement from Klarna.
8.5 Klarna Pay in 3 — When you choose Klarna Pay in 3, you will split the cost in three identical instalments. Only available if your billing address is in the United Kingdom. You will agree to Klarna's user terms and privacy statement.
8.6 Klarna Pay in 30 Days — A credit product that lets you pay any time within 30 days of your purchase, interest-free. Payment can be made via card on the Klarna app or at klarna.com/uk.
9.1 The recycling service is available on divan sets, bed frames and mattresses only. Please see our recycling terms and conditions for details on how to prepare products for collection.
9.2 Bedstar cannot collect a bed base or mattress if:
- It is heavily soiled and classed as unhygienic
- It is not wrapped in plastic wrapping before the delivery team arrives (Bedstar cannot supply wrapping)
- The bed base or frame is not disassembled before the collection team arrives
- The item is not available at the property to collect
- The item is not a bed base or mattress
9.3 Once a used bed has been collected and removed from the customer's property, it becomes the property of Bedstar Ltd. Redelivery back to the customer will not be possible under any circumstances.
9.4 Where the customer chooses to return a product after the initial delivery and the driver has left the property, the used bed base or mattress cannot be returned.
10.1 Risk of damage to or loss of the Products shall pass to the Buyer upon delivery.
10.2 Title to the Products shall not pass to the Buyer until the Seller has received payment in full in cleared funds.
10.3 The Seller shall be entitled to recover payment for the Products notwithstanding that ownership has not yet passed.
10.4 The Buyer may not use or resell the Products before ownership has passed.
10.5 The Buyer grants the Seller licence to enter any premises where the Products are stored in order to inspect them or, where the right to possession has terminated, to recover them.
11.1 This clause applies if the Buyer makes any voluntary arrangements with creditors, becomes bankrupt, goes into liquidation, has a receiver appointed, ceases to carry on business, or the Seller reasonably apprehends that any such event is about to occur.
11.2 If this clause applies, the Seller shall be entitled to cancel the Contract or suspend any further deliveries without liability to the Buyer, and any unpaid Price shall become immediately due and payable.
12.1 Neither party shall be liable for any delay or failure to perform obligations if the delay results from events outside their reasonable control, including strikes, accidents, war, fire, breakdown of machinery or shortage of raw materials.
12.2 If any such event continues for more than 30 days, the Buyer will be entitled to give written notice to terminate the Contract.
12.5 If a wooden or metal bed frame is purchased, the Seller is not responsible for replacing damaged parts that have been improperly constructed or used. Beds on hard flooring must have anti-slip pads under all legs.
12.6 Bunk Beds: the maximum mattress thickness marking is found on the product post. Bedstar can confirm top bunk heights on request — email [email protected].
12.7 Most divan bed bases and bed frames have a payload of approximately 14 stone. If the payload exceeds this, please contact our sales team. Bedstar will treat an over-payload issue as misuse, not a manufacturing fault.
13.1 The headings of clauses in these conditions are intended for reference only and will not affect the construction of these conditions.
13.2 No statement, description, warranty or recommendation made verbally by any agent or employee of the Seller shall be construed to enlarge, vary or override any of these conditions.
13.3 The Buyer agrees to pay for any loss or extra cost incurred by the Seller through the Buyer's instructions, lack of instructions, or failure to take delivery.
14.1 In accordance with the Regulations, the Buyer has the right of cancellation within 14 days, except where a Product is tailored to customer requirements and without fault.
14.2 To exercise the right of cancellation, the Buyer must give written notice to the Seller by letter or email giving details of the Products ordered. Notification by phone is not sufficient.
14.3 Once notified of cancellation, the Seller will refund or re-credit the Buyer within 30 days.
14.5 If Products have been delivered but the Buyer wants to cancel, the Buyer must retain possession and must not use the Products. The Buyer will be responsible for returning Products to the Seller at the Buyer's own cost.
14.6 Any items the Buyer wishes to return must be available for collection in the same manner as delivered. Any flat packed items that have been assembled cannot be returned unless faulty.
14.9 If you wish to return a mattress after delivery because you have changed your mind, it must not have been used and must remain sealed in the original packaging.
Please note: we do not offer mattresses on a sleep trial basis. All mattresses must be returned still sealed in the original packaging and within 14 days of receiving. Please send images of the wrapped mattress to [email protected] prior to arranging collection.
Items can be returned to: Bedstar Ltd, Unit 6a Hessay Industrial Estate, Hessay, YO26 8LE. Alternatively Bedstar can arrange collection — minimum charge £50.
15.1 The Contract shall be governed by the law of England and Wales and any dispute shall be determined exclusively by the Courts of England and Wales.
16.1 The Seller's total liability arising in connection with the performance of this agreement shall be limited to the price paid for the Products.
16.2 Nothing in these conditions excludes or limits the liability of the Seller for death or personal injury caused by the Seller's negligence or fraudulent misrepresentation.
16.3 The Seller shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage, including loss of profit, loss of business or depletion of goodwill.
17.1 The Seller will take all reasonable precautions to keep the details of the Buyer's order and payment secure but, unless the Seller is negligent, the Seller will not be liable for unauthorised access to information supplied by the Buyer.

18.2 Bedstar are committed to providing excellent customer service. Treating customers fairly is our top priority. Our Complaints Policy ensures all complaints are handled as efficiently and effectively as possible.
You can expect that we will:
- Provide a structured procedure for handling complaints
- Treat you with respect and protect your privacy
- Carry out the complaint handling process in a fair and open way
- Tell you what to expect while your complaint is being investigated
- Provide reasons for decisions made
- Acknowledge receipt of your complaint in writing within 14 working days
We aim to resolve complaints normally within 35 business days. If we cannot resolve within this time we will explain why it will take longer. If we are unable to resolve your complaint or you are unhappy with the outcome, you have the right to contact the Ombudsman.
