What is a hybrid mattress?

Who is a hybrid mattress best suited for?
Hybrid mattresses work well for a wide range of sleepers, which is part of why they've become so popular. They're particularly good for combination sleepers who change position during the night, couples with different firmness preferences, and anyone who likes the feel of memory foam but finds a pure foam mattress too warm or unsupportive around the edges. Are hybrid mattresses good for back pain?
Many people with back pain find hybrid mattresses very effective. Are hybrid mattresses suitable for adjustable beds?

How thick should a hybrid mattress be?
